This past year on my birthday, which happened to be a Saturday, I had the desire to have the opportunity to lead someone to Christ. That day God crossed my path with a man named Chris Payne. He and I struck up a conversation, and then I asked him if he knew where he would spend an eternity. He said he didn’t know. As I began to share the Gospel with him, the Spirit was doing His work. Chris accepted Christ that day and it was a wonderful moment! After we prayed together, I told Chris that it was my birthday and that I had prayed that morning that God would give me the opportunity to lead someone to Christ. I gave Chris verses on assurance and explained to him his next step, baptism.
As we were wrapping it up, Chris told me that the next day was his birthday! It was awesome! Chris got saved on my birthday and baptized on his! I still look back a few months removed from that moment and thank God for His goodness.
I love soulwinning! I love seeing people saved, baptized, added to the church, discipled, and serving God on their own. I pray we never forget the joy of taking the Bible and showing someone how they can know for sure Heaven is their eternal home.
